On board, your guide will detail the changing colors of the foliage around you as you tour Boston. Travel past quiet ponds and lakes, centuries-old farms, vast prairies, weathered roadside taverns and unique colonial churches. Stop for coffee at a local coffee shop in Groton (own expense), pass Willard Brook State Forest, a Massachusetts state park located in Ashby and Townsend about 50 miles (80 km) from Boston. Continue to Ashby Common, a small park and church located in a quiet neighborhood, for more photo opportunities.
Next, visit a quaint restaurant nestled in the heart of the mountains in New Hampshire to stretch your legs, wander around at your leisure, and enjoy a buffet lunch (included).
